John Burton

In 1956, John Burton was contracted to produce a new design for the pier which would include a 600 seat concert hall. As it did so often with it’s attacks from nature, the pier bounced back and in June 1960 the pier theatre opened with Carry on Laughing, a revue show by Eleanor Fazan and Peter Myers.
