Introduction
OUR PIER will conserve living memories and people's experiences of Bournemouth Pier, our town's most iconic landmark.
The oral history accounts will act as an archive preserving the past for future generations. By using drama to recreate these memories and combining these with the oral history interviews, the project will be one of the first historical resources exploring a specific part of Bournemouth's history.

As part of the OUR PIER project there will be a range of events and courses which we hope will inspire you to tell us your Bournemouth Pier stories. You can also take part by submitting your stories, images or memories on-line through this web site or by email us at thepier@whitelantern.co.uk.Stories can also be posted on our MySpace page by clicking here or within our Facebook group by clicking here. All your memories will be posted on this site and the most popular will be included in the BIG Pier Vote to decide which stories to included in the OUR PIER: Memories, Pier, Past & Present film.
