About The Funders
Heritage Lottery Fund
The National Lottery (UK) set up the Heritage Lottery Fund to give grants to a wide range of projects involving the local, regional and national heritage of the United Kingdom. The fund distributes a share of the money raised by the National Lottery for Good Causes.
In 2007 the fund allocated around £255 million to projects in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Since 1994, the lottery fund has awarded over £3.97 billion to more than 26,000 projects across the UK.
The Heritage Lottery Fund enables communities to celebrate, look after and learn more about our diverse heritage. We fund the entire spread of heritage - including buildings, museums, natural heritage and the heritage of cultural traditions and language.
The Heritage Lottery Fund helps open up our heritage for everyone to enjoy.
Bournemouth Borough Council
